We're getting closer and closer to releasing the new clothing and accessory lines, so we thought we'd post a teaser pic of the tags! It's so amazing that lives are being changed with our clothing and accessories. The women who do this work are AMAZING, and we're honored to be able to share their work and stories with you all! STAY TUNED FOR MORE!

Planning, planning, planning! The Girls are hard at work finalizing the new clothing line launch (coming SOON), and we're beginning to make preparations for our Summer Trip. The Girl's Home is going GREAT, Channy is doing GREAT at Bloom, Veasna is making excellent grades at University, we're working on an opportunity for another young girl, and we're waiting for Chantha to graduate in August so she can begin Univesity, as well! BUSY IN AN AWESOME WAY!

The Compassion4 Team (Maury, Karen, Jason, Jennifer, and Tamara) just returned from a trip to Cambodia where we began work for the new clothing line, as well as worked on getting Tamara setup in the Compassion4 Cambodia Girl's Transition Home. As if that alone wasn't exciting enough, we took our first three guests with us so that they, too, could experience the Cambodia we all love so much. We loved watching them fall in love with the people and the kids at the orphanage we work with!
We also made some new connections with another great group of people: acid burn victims that have started their own crocheting group — and Compassion4 has committed to helping them bring their creations to as many people as possible. Stay tuned for details!
Lastly, we're working on gathering pictures from all the cell phones and cameras we had with us, and we'll be posting a gallery ASAP. In the mean time, visit our Compassion4 Facebook page to see some of the pics from our first trip in 2012.

We spent the afternoon with our team of seamstresses, and it was nothing short of amazing. These are the women that we are honored to work alongside, the women who are playing a crucial role in bringing hope and change to their Cambodian communities. A small group making a small ripple that grows outward to their friends in the fabric market, their friends that drive us all around the city on these crazy errands, their children who can now go to school and become better educated, the children in orphanages that will be able to transition into living in the city, the young adults that will be mentored in becoming the best they can be for their family and community, and so on, and so on, and so on.
We are truly honored to be part of something much bigger than we are.

A picture is worth a thousand words, and this one shows, perfectly, why we are doing what we're doing.

Update time!
Thursday was a massively successful divide and conquer day for Compassion4! The girls hit the fabric markets, and the guys had meetings to gather info on shipping and exporting — as well as doing loads of photo and video work.
The verdict? SUCCESS!
Fabric selections were made for several sample garments, and those are being made over the next couple of days. We'll refine these looks until we get them right where we want them — and it was great to have our head seamstress spend the whole day with us! We'll be doing some video interviews with her and her group, and we're looking forward to everyone hearing first-hand how something as simple as making a shirt can change lives.
Real progress was made on the shipping and export front, as well. The guys spent time in meetings with import and expert companies, figuring out the best method for getting our garments to the States in the most cost-effective manner — and we think we're close to nailing down the route we'll take that will work out best for all parties.
Friday was spent at the Hope for Cambodian Orphanage, and it was great to hang out and play with the kids all day. We have loads of videos and photos to process, so stay tuned for that! We're also heading back out Saturday to hang out with everyone again.
As we've been riding around on tuk tuks, the Compasion4 Mentoring Program has been refining itself — and we have some ideas on the horizon that we're extremely excited about. We're hoping to have a couple of meetings over the next few days — and we're hoping for some great news from something we have no control over — and then pieces will fall into place for something awesome! But of course, we can't share just yet — so you'll just have to keep your eyes peeled.
At the risk of sounding overdramatic, things are going better than we could have ever expected. Doors are opening. Progress is being made. Big things are on the horizon. We feel like we're the four luckiest people on Earth right now.

The entire Compassion4 Team will be heading to Cambodia in a few days, and we'll be jumping directly into our 2011 projects. To say we're "stoked" would the understatement of the year!
Half of our team will be focusing on expanding our Compassion4 Clothing Line, and the other half will be starting the groundwork for our Compassion4 Cambodia Mentoring Program — and all of us will be doing some major photo and video work to bring back home and share with everyone.
As we prepare to leave in the coming days, we'd really appreciate it if you'd bookmark a few pages so that you can follow us on this journey:
We will be posting updates throughout our time there, and we'd love for you to share the above links with all your friends and family.
